Product Description:
fennel DVDManager (aka fsDM) is our next-generation DVD manager (sigh) for Mac OS X. With its clean interface, DVDManager makes maintaining your DVD library as easy as Macintosh!
- Retrieve & Update your DVDs' details through online sites
- or Add & Edit them manually, yet *quickly* (just the core details!)
- Manage their life when lent to friends thanks to your Address Book
- Create box sets+wish list easily & Manage them intuitively
- Export a complete list of your DVD library, etc.
What's new in this version:
Features
- Qualified for Mac OS X v10.4.5
- Now built as a Universal Binary (i.e. Intel- and PowerPC-compatible)
- Changed a couple of Japanese translations for the better
- On Tiger systems, only our French-based document may be displayed when mounting our disk images.
- Due to limited resources, we're no longer considering Panther as our primary target; we're however still fully committed to solving any issue reported on this operating system. So thanks for your ongoing feedback.

Additional Requirements:

Import of csv or xml does nothing. I'm not retyping thousands of titles. Fix the import and it would be a nice app.

This is a nice little app. It doesn't do the fancy barcode scanning (never works when I do it anyway) but looks like Apple software, is simple and easy to use.
If you go to the developers site, you can download the lite version, which is UK and US English only, rather than multilingual.
Would love to be able to edit the genre by double clicking the genre field, rather than going to the menu bar.
Search feature is pure mac, works and is fast.
I would also like to be able to edit the filter setting, so I can say whether I have ripped it to my media centre.
Import and export to xml format, same as other DVD cataloging software.
The web export function allows you to create a HTML webpage of all your DVD's that you could send to a friend so they can see what you have got (don't tell the film companies!). I have been annoyed by software that doesn't do this in the past, as it seems an obvious thing you would want to do.
So far so good.
