I got no key, i have a new google account and network errors (obviously, with no key) when run.
This stinks. And where is the Google service mentioned in another review here? I searched Google for it and found nothing.

I get the Network Error also. I checked out the TCP stream w/ Sniffles, and it looks like it's not accepting my API key. I'll try again later, maybe google hasn't enabled it in their systems yet. Cool idea though.

With this description you say "Wow, when people search for my name in Google I will be notified!". Of course this application won't do that. So please change the short description.
A more accurate short description would be: "notifies of changes in Google search results".
