Update 5.4 -> 5.5 breaks license - Version: 5.5, 10/8/2006 12:09AM PST

I can't update to 5.5 because doing so breaks my license. The new version runs in demo mode. Restoring from backup repairs the damage, if any.

The Apple ][ was recently voted the greatest PC of all time by PCWorld. I think you can say without a doubt that Virtual ][ is the greatest Apple ][ emulator of all time.
I purchased this emulator ages ago and it just keeps getting better and better.

Years ago I wrote some games and educational apps for the //e that I re-wrote when we bought Mac Classic when it had a 5 MB RAM. If someone had an app to allow me to use those apps, that would be nice. They don't run on today's Mac. (They stopped working on my 1996 Mac when I upgraded the ram from 8 MB to 20 MB. I think it was because the new memory expected the apps to be 32-bit clean.) They were written in Microsoft QuickBasic which was stuck at version 1 (and may have been a beta version).
