Remember? CommentaryBest Calendar Program Ever!!! - Version: 4.3, 2/27/2008 11:50PM PST

Been using this since OS 9 and I just LOVE it. This is one program that I completely rely on for all my appointments and to do’s

I love it and would love it even more if it would ever get a web connection for the database so I could use it when not at home...but not I use my cell phone calendar for that

Remember? ReviewRemember? 4.2 is the level of excellence all shareware should aspire to - Version: 4.2, 6/18/2007 09:24PM PST

Remember? is worth much more than its shareware price. At $20, you're getting a piece of software that will never give you any trouble, does exactly what you bought it for, and is highly customizable. The appearance, alarms (alerts), printing layouts, and event categories are loaded with options that are well thought out; yet with all the features, the program remains lean. I've used it since OS 8 right up to my current OS of 10.3.9 and it's worked seamlessly at all times. It doesn't include contact management or integration with email, but those are for other programs (like Mail & Address Book). If you want a superb reminder/calendar that's intuitive and a snap to set up and use, then Remember? is your program.

This software is 99% perfect, but if I could wish for one tiny little thing that would bring it to 100%, that would be the ability to START and END a recurring event at a particular point in time. For instance, suppose I have an appointment the 15th of each month but only from March to November. The way Remember? is now, that appointment will show up on the 15th of every month. I can delete it in December, but that deletes ALL instances of that appointment, past and future... unless there's a way around this that I'm missing.

But that's a minor wish list item. This software is so good it's spoiled me. Now I expect all shareware to be just as impressive.

Remember? ReviewThis is one of the few sharewares I consider essential! - Version: 4.2, 3/30/2006 03:55PM PST

I've been using Dave Warker's "Remember?" for more years than I care to recall (OS 6.X). When I was gainfully employed (I'm now retired) I even purchased (out of my own pocket) additional shareware copies (HINT! HINT!) for poeple to use in my Department. I would be lost without "Remember?" since I'm now old and suffer from the common illness: "CRS"!

This software is simple to use, reliable and stable and Dave, bless his heart, is responsive to any techincal questions I've had over the years.

Thank you Dave!

Remember? ReviewThe BEST Reminder/Diary/Calendar program available - Version: 4.2, 9/18/2005 02:07PM PST

MatrixPT

I've been using Remember? since OS7 days and it has never failed to please. It is useful as a calendar, diary and to-do list.

I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to keep track of everything they've ever done over the past few years, and who wants to keep track of their new events in the coming months and years. It is far more powerful than the popular Palm Desktop's task manager, but extremely easy to use unlike Now Up To Date.

Many other reminder packages are either simple 'to-do' lists, or they are far too complicated and go overboard with features few people ever use. Remember? can be as easy to use or as feature-rich as you need. It handles multi-day reminders, timed reminders, repeating schedules, different colours, fonts and sounds for different types of occasion, the ability to select monthly or even bi-monthly week-day based reminders with ease. It's the only reminder package I've found that can remind me of my car-club meeting which happens on the second Tuesday and third Wednesday of each month, and can remind me to drop my medication dosage every four days without having to learn a new programming language or script environment!

Often these reminder packages are very complex and difficult to use (NowUpToDate being an example) but even an absolute computer novice like my Mum was able to enter her complete weekly schedule in about ten minutes without me showing her how to use it.

The ability to prioritise different types of reminder is great also, so in a list it will place doctor's appointments or urgent meeting above things like birthday reminders. It will remind you of a birthday a week in advance you you have time to buy a present, but will only remind you to take out the garbage on the night it is needed, half an hour before your favourite TV show starts.

Printed calendars look fantastic especially with creative use of fonts and colours. Impossible to do this with NowUpToDate, Palm Desktop or Office.

The only tiny gripe I have is that it still doesn't have a background notification system so if the application is not running in the background you won't be reminded of anything. I found an easy way around this - go to your Keyboard and Mouse System Preference and enter a custom Keyboard Shortcut entry for Remember? - Click '+' then enter Menu Title 'Quit Remember?' and change Command-Q' to something like 'Option-Command-Q' so then the only way you can 'Quit' the application is to deliberately open it and use 'Quit' from the File menu.

I paid my Shareware feel almost ten years ago for the OS9 version, I really should pay again for the OSX version, it is worth much more to me than the fee Dave is asking for.

... but I still prefer the online website - www.BigReminder.com for when I don't have my computer handy. Sems to offer a lot more options, like reminding other people of events, not just me.

Remember? ReviewAn absolute must - Version: 4.1, 1/13/2005 06:04AM PST

I started using this program back in the days of system 7- it has progressed and developed and is an absolute essential. Very easy to use, very robust - I've never had it crash. As a busy clergyman I have a very full diary and it stores all I need, in various catagories and produces a good calander for me to carry around. The best shareware investment I ever made. Andy M

Remember? ReviewAn all time best - Version: 4.1b4, 1/18/2004 05:07AM PST

I celebrated when Remember moved to OS X. It was one of my favorites in OS 9. I start my day by reviewing the birthdays and historical events and by adding those events, I will want to recall in the future. It's simple, elegant, useful and informative. At some point, I feel like I will have to pay the fee again, just to keep it alive. My Thanks.

Remember is one of the best little calendar/reminder utilities out there, but for some reason this latest beta version will not launch at all on my computer. G4/450 AGP OX 10.3

Remember? ReviewThe best I've tried - Version: 4.0, 10/3/2003 08:55AM PST

For some reason, I need to try out every calendar/reminder program that comes along, and I've never found one better than Remember? Although it's not flashy, it is easy to set up and use, provides lots of customizing options, and is a bargain. I made the mistake of buying Chronosnet's product (don't know what they're calling it now) and got tired of wading through the bloated user's guide and extremely tired of being charged for upgrades that provided no new functionality. I've never regretted buying Remember?
