hello all,
just a note on bru cli, first off the config..
1-apple xserve with 2GB RAM 3-60GB drives, mirror and hot spare, fiber, scsi, gigE. services running are smb, afp, httpd, qtss, sendmail, nfs
2-apple xserve raid setup as 50 for total of 3.2 TB growing to 6+ TB
1-vixel 335 fibre switch
1-adic scalar 100 with 1 gen 2 lto drive attached via scsi
the initial problem was finding a product that would a) run headless, b) a product that would support more than 1 TB. c) dealing with open file agents for services ie: file maker server, mail etc.. then comes the issue of tech support.
first, the people at tolis are amazing..
second no more storage sets!!!
no open file agents needed!!
i thought hmmm .. too good to be true must be BS, but it all works!!
here's the summary of the backup
