0072The only thing that used to work, was MacTheRipper. And it was free. Nothing comes close.
The search for something that works... continues...

version numbers? - Version: 2.2.2, 8/30/2008 10:52AM PST

pcoatsThe About Box within the application says version 2.2.2.
The Info.plist file in the package has CFBundleVersion 2.2.1.
The Get Info window in the Finder shows no version at all.
And VersionTracker keeps telling me that I have version 2.2.1 and I need to download the latest version.
More improvements, please

1. If I insert a DVD with no enough room on it to copy the source, it scans the disk, source, etc and at the end bombs saying there is not enough space on the DVD to burn calling me to start over all the process that is wasted.
2. If I try to burn a DVD but the process got aborted half-way due to no space on the DVD (image file created by this time), and I insert another DVD, there is no way to just burn the already created image file to the DVD. I have to start over the process again! This happens even if there already is an image file and I have no way of burning multiple copies from old image files. Common, the data/image file is already created and all we need to do is just burn it to the DVD instead of re-creating the file. Provide another option to burn from an image file?
3. If the source is located on the hard disk, is there any way to directly burn the output to the DVD without creating the intermediate image file? Or, can there be an option to auto-delete the image file on successful burning of the DVD? These image files are as large as the DVD (upto 4.4 GB) and users may forget to manually delete them to recover the lost space!!
Thanks!

jimmydivHere is what it is not:
A program to rip files to quicktime or ipod format for playing on your computer. Use HandBreak for this.
Here is what it IS FOR!
After decrypting with Mac the Ripper you can make a complete duplicate of a DVD with just the movie or all the menus and special features and either save it to an image file for later playing on DVD player or burning it back to a DVD. It compressed Dual Layer discs to single layer discs very quickly and the quality is unmatched. You see very little loss and save 2-4 gig of space. All the discs I have for mobile use or those that go to children are thanks to DVD2oneX. My originals are safe in there boxes amongst my collection- no scratches no worries. I've used this program since version 1 and it just keeps getting better. It even supports XGrid!

rubaiyatIt still requires MacTheRipper doesn't it?
Is it faster, better quality, more reliable?

ZZBaronThere is obviously a severe bug here somewhere, as it appears that a lot of others are experiencing the same thing.

Combined with the excellent Mac DVD Ripper Pro you got it all covered.
