Product Description:

PDF U is a utility that will allow you to quickly turn on the "hidden" PDF Services menu that Apple has hidden (see graphic above) in the OS 10.2 print dialog boxes. Normally, you have to go to a special folder on the system, create a folder called "PDF Services" and add your own scripts. Not anymore! PDF U will not only do it quickly, but it will add it for the current user, all system users, and even remove it if you no longer want it. The best part is that we start you with a few scripts to get started. We couldn't have made it easier!

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

Mac OS X 10.3
Mac OS X 10.2

Additional Requirements:

Mac OS X 10.2.4 or higher
Applications directory must be on your startup disk for PDF U to work correctly (no applications folders on other partitions, netinfo-changed directories, etc.) We have also received reports that this software will not work reliably with Mac OS X Server versions. This bug is supposedly fixed in Panther.

I just recently started using PDF U and requested additional scripts for PowerMail & InDesign and there was an update containing these new scripts within 3 weeks. Now that's fast! To the whiners who are complaining that they are offering such software as donationware, I'll say this: as a regular Mac user, not a developer or even script writer, I was not aware this could be done, would probably not have thought of doing this if I had been aware that it could be done, don't know how to do it even if I had thought of it, and probably wouldn't have taken the time to do it even if I knew how to do it. That's what software developers and software customers are for, get it? By the way, the software works exactly as it should, which is what these reviews are for.
