On Tiger, does absolutely nothing for me. More frustrating is that I can't seem to even delete the bloody thing (no Uninstaller is provided, and even after deleting every file associated with the program it simply WILL NOT GO AWAY!).

I regret having even downloaded it.

MaxiMice ReviewScrolling in Tiger - Version: 1.0.1, 9/13/2006 02:31AM PST

Cowicide
Scrolls smooth as silk in Panther with Safari, but scrolls choppy in Tiger on very same system. Till this is fixed, I can't give this a good review if you are running Tiger. Needs to be fixed.

Scrolling works great Safari. Only complaint is that modifier-key scrolling doesn't appear to work on the native safari RSS pages.

Thank you programmer...or *programmesse*

MaxiMice Troubleshooting Report► Does NOT work fine with Tiger - Version: 1.0.1, 8/30/2005 03:06PM PST

The main reason I use Maximice is for its wonderfully smooth scrolling in Safari, etc. MaxiMice makes scrolling smoother than anything else and makes reading via my computer a joy. I hate using any other computer without it... it destroys using a scrollwheel on a mouse!

But, I tested this on the same computer with Tiger running w/ the latest Safari and now the scrolling is rather jumpy. This is one of the reasons I'm not upgrading my main work computer to Tiger. Until Maximice is as smooth as it is on my Panther setup (OS 10.3.2 safari 1.2 v125) I'm stuck. I just can't live without nice and perfectly readable clickless scrolling.

MaxiMice ReviewWorks fine with Tiger! - Version: 1.0.1, 5/5/2005 06:52AM PST

The developer responded right away to my inquiry yesterday about Tiger compatibility that his testing showed no problems with MaxiMice in OS 10.4. I don't use Firefox so I can't talk to that issue, but MaxiMice is behaving flawlessly so far for me. Once you get used to edge scrolling it would have been tough to give it up!

Oops, in that last post I meant to say GeekBind, not GeekTool. In any case, it's geeky and it's great! :)

For those people using modifier window dragging -- try GeekTool instead! GeekTool is just starting out and is already getting really good -- and's it open source so it's free forever! It also works on EVERY app -- not just Cocoa apps! MaxiMice, on the other hand, hasn't been updated forever, can only do Cocoa apps and hasn't even been updated with the option of using multiple modifier keys at once.

MaxiMice ReviewHAS been great, but doesn't work with newer apps? - Version: 1.0.1, 11/9/2004 10:50AM PST

Long time user, can't live without it, but has no effect on two newer apps, ie: NetNewsWire or Firefox. Are those apps Carbonish?

emailed developer about this, never heard back.
