Product Description:

D. Richard Hipp's CVSTrac is an open-source Web-based bug and patch-set tracking system for CVS. This distribution contains a single file that you can drag-install onto your Mac OS X machine without futzing with any Makefiles.

What's new in this version:

  • Extensions to the Wiki markup language: nested lists, for font choices, etc.
  • Attachments can be put on Wiki pages now, in addition to tickets.
  • The Setup screens have been rearranged to be easier to understand.
  • Bandwidth throttling--can limit the number of hits from the same IP.
  • Added commands for backing up and restoring the database.
  • The timeline has an RSS feed at timeline.rss (this was in 1.1.2, but wasn't well known).

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1
  • Mac OS X 10.0

Very easy to use, even has it's own built in web server.

Don't forget to visit http://www.cvstrac.org for more info on installing and setup (I had to for instructions on how to start the web server).

This program seems to be a nice one - but I cannot test it. After installation (really easy), I called it using my favorit browser (Safari), entered my login name and password: "You entered an incorrect username and/or password". Tried some other passwords, ...

Is this a trojan horse, which samples for account names and passwords?

have a CVS repository, this is great. It's a mix between CVSWeb and Bugzilla of sort. it's very light, has built in collaborative documentation tools, cross reference of bug numbers and everything one would need. I wouldn't say it's going to scale to hundreds of developers, but for a small group it is awesome.
