This is fabulous stuff! Thank you very much!!
Setting the update to 200 and the segment count to 20 while ticking the auto disappear box makes this really useful - the tail trails enough so you can see the mouse easily but it fades quickly enough not to interfere.
For a free product I give it a top rating!

It's a terrific idea, but, on my G4 933 with 640MB RAM, it takes up way too much CPU time...

Only works on the first monitor.

Otherwise, kinda neet, I used it for about 20 seconds, then threw it away.

that I really like this. My only complaint is that it should be made as a preference pane. What I notice with using this is when you set the layer to be over everything, if you look at the very top of your screen, you notice a black shadow type line. And I had noticed that in the Console log, there is a warning that is stated as this: Warning: ATSUMeasureText has been deprecated. Use ATSUGetUnjustifiedBounds instead. I don't know if that means anything, but I thought that I would point that out.

update so slowly? (resulting in very angular response) - suggest you use openGL. Aside from an instructional template in RB there is no function.

it a Preference Pane, not an app!
