Product Description:

Ritmo is an Audio Unit format instrument that works in hosts like Emagic Logic Audio or Sagan Technology Metro, and freeware hosts like Granted Software's Rax.

Each Ritmo instance has up to 24 instruments, each with a multimode filter, envelope generator, and built-in tempo-syncable delay. Multiple outputs are also supported.

What's new in this version:

  • fixed a freeze, introduced in Ritmo 1.1, that happened when moving between instruments in the Ritmo editor interface when running the version of CoreAudio before QuickTime 6.4
  • implemented a workaround for the MIDI learn context menu in Digital Performer 4.1
  • voice indicators no longer get stuck with high sample rates and in certain other situations

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1
  • Mac OS X 10.0

Additional Requirements:

  • Audio Unit host such as Emagic Logic Audio 6

Ritmo ReviewRitmo drum sample player - Version: 1.0.1, 5/11/2003 12:56PM PST

I tried (and then bought) this whilst waiting for Battery to be ported to AU. It is really easy to use and integrates very well with Logic 6. It does not have velocity switching etc, only one sample per instrument. It lacks the ability (AFAICT) to save a kit's samples when a kit is saved - this would be handy, and for this reason only, one star off. There is an on-line forum and the developer responds really quickly.
