Product Description:

Firefox is an award winning preview of next generation browsing technology from mozilla.org.

Firefox empowers you to accomplish your online activities faster, more safely and efficiently than any other browser, period. Built with Tab browsing, popup blocking and a number of other seamless innovations, Firefox stands out ahead.

What's new in this version:

The Mozilla Foundation releases an important security update for Firefox. All users should upgrade to the latest version of the Firefox Preview Release. A patch is available for current Preview Release users. Current Firefox Preview Release users: when the update icon appears in the upper right corner of your screen, just click on it to install the patch, or click here to install it.

A malicious hacker who could trick a user into saving a file could delete files from a user's download directory. While this is a potentially severe security vulnerability, user interaction is required to trigger potential harm. This security update is also another example of the Mozilla Foundation identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities before they are exploited by malicious hackers. This type of security vulnerability is very different from cases where a hacker could take advantage of a vulnerability to obtain valuable information from a user's computer.

Mozilla Firefox 1.0PR ReviewStill Annoying - Version: 3.0.3, 11/11/2008 06:51PM PST

Firefox 3.0.3 is far better at rendering HTML and CSS than its predecessors, but it still doesn't integrate well with Mac OS X. It's faster than ever and has more features, but it's still annoyingly clunky. Unless you need or want to use Firefox addons, <rhetorical)Why bother?</rhetorical> The word "feh" comes to mind.

Mozilla Firefox 1.0PR CommentaryMacOS X System fonts "Gill Sans Light" & "Helvetica Neue Light" - Version: 3.0.3, 10/25/2008 06:52AM PST

Hello,

I could not manage Firefox 3.0.3 to display the font face "Gill Sans Light" which I have correctly specified in my css properties.

e.g.

.headline { font-size: 72px; font-family: "Gill Sans Light", "Gill Sans", Helvetica, Arial, Sans-Serif; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; }

This doesn't seem to work neither in Apple Safari. Has anyone a clue how to fix this?

graphically & sincerely,

Marc Klein

Still a few bugs, but overall an awesome product. Thanks Mozilla team! I used to use Camino, but with this version, I don't see many advantages with Camino anymore.
