Focus CommentaryI'm wondering... - Version: 2.7, 12/11/2007 02:03PM PST

Does anyone know if this would be a good replacement for floating clock?

Focus ReviewGreat replacement for floating clock - Version: 2.6, 11/1/2007 09:35AM PST

capability that was deleted in Leopard. I don't really care to know which application is in front by using this app, but I do miss the ability to have a floating analog clock that I can place on my second monitor. I am often running programs on the main monitor that hide the menu bar, but leave the second monitor free. By using Focus, and turning the transparency option on the app icon to 0% I now have just the floating clock I want. Thanks very much for this simple, yet satisfying little program.

Focus CommentarySuper app, but look at the console msg it generates: - Version: 2.5, 8/7/2005 09:53AM PST

"Aug 7 16:16:48 CrouchingTiger /Users/*******/Applications/Utilities/Focus.app/Contents/MacOS/Focus: The function CGSDictionaryObjectForKey is obsolete and will be removed in a Tiger update. Unfortunately, this app, or a library it uses, is using this obsolete function, and is thereby contributing to an overall degradation of system performance.

1) Set the window height to about 20 pixels.
2) Place the window at the left of your menu bar, so that it covers the apple logo.
3) Set focus to ignore mouse clicks.

Focus ReviewSimply a must have! - Version: 2.5, 8/16/2003 11:33PM PST

WWWWait! First the frontmost application icon is, on my 1600x1200 17" screen, so little that any can be confused (how much round and aqua blue 'safari like' icons are be made?), so a translucent bigger one is now up right my first eyes contact!
Than the clock, analog, of course!!! is simply the best I tryed and now I can hold only the date on the menubar, still filled by all the icons my loved TaskMenuBar teached me under 8 and9 to use, last... it desappears each time I need to go on the disk icons over they are be placed... Also... simply a perfect, thinny, free must have!!

Focus Reviewfrontmost app? - Version: 2.5, 8/14/2003 09:53AM PST

OK. If you just want to know which is the frontmost application, you can just look at the menu bar. I know this sounds like a "troll" but... I like the app, but... I don't find it very useful at the moment.
