There are enough rave reviews here including my own, but here's an example of the responsiveness of this developer: I posted a bug report on the forum a few nights ago at 9:39PM. Less than 3 hours later the developer responded with an explanation and a promise of an addition to the preferences to deal with my issue. 3-1/2 hours after that, at 4:00 AM, a new version was made available with the change I requested. Wow.
Indispensible

Nothing comes close for auditioning and sorting the thousands of samples we have on our computers these days. Absolutely indispensible, regularly updated, and well worth the shareware fee.

How many shareware programmers provide "free" upgrades.
I've had this programme since it first became available.
I'd be dead in my audio/midi recording studio without this fantastic audio finder. Plus it does so much more!
It is a must have programme if you are serious about midi/audio recording and creating music.

Simply can't live without it!
This application is a must for every Audio Studio, Pro or not!
There is nothing that I'm missing. The Interface is getting close to beautiful!
I think it's worth twice the price, simply because you get as many codes as you need.
Thank you so much!

Freakin' Great, and a bargain to boot

Does so many things, and so many of them BETTER than the well-known high-priced editors, for instance: slicing, resampling, format conversion, DSP effects, etc. Able to recover audio from AIFF files that've lost their resource forks by being copied to a Win machine. If it could do that with SD1 and SD2 files I'd be in heaven. "Scanner" window unfortunately insists of files that have extensions specified. Developer is very responsive to communication via their user forum.
Kudos to 3.8.2

AudioFinder 3.8.2 is a must have!
An audio utility for every and any kind of musician.
Ya' really can't afford to miss this gem.
It's simple looking yet it's slick and has a customizable GUI.
Packed with features that could cost you many times the amount!
Seriously I cannot tell it all, but I will try for a few.
AudioFinder 3.8.2 has what I like to call the, "down and dirty" meta editor.
It's a new favorite of mine. It really just gets you right you into a sample, to cut it, loop it, detect and edit hit points, slice em' up and get them outta' there quick.
The built in meta editor is no joke. It's "down and dirty" baby.
With a slew of other features like BPM detection, Midi input triggering, Apple's Audio Unit plugin processing. System plugin management for VST, AU, and MAS. Selectable note tuner utility. Multi format file conversions and export like SND, AAC, AIFF, Wav etc. File Import support includes REX1 and 2 support for the Recycle and Reason heads. Extensive file management and processing capabilities are only part of the AudioFinder experience. You could spend 15 minutes or hours creating well organized, great sounding sample libraries. Eventually thinking, " How did I do all of this stuff before AudioFinder?"
Quick mention that Iced Audio tirelessly and habitually updates this monster regularly with features faster than you can ask why didn't I buy this app a LOOONG time ago. Frequently implementing useful features that user's feedback to them.
Personally I thought it was a remarkable little gem from day one.
Now with 3.8.2, it's simply outstanding!
I can promise you for the price, NOTHING even comes close.
Kudos! Iced Audio by far you have created one of the best audio utilities I have ever owned and seen in a longtime.

An excellent audiofinder for audio project building... - Version: 3.8.1, 8/9/2005 06:38AM PST

We use this application every day in building our audio projects for commercials.
It provides us with a fast search and immediate playback/audition.
The author of this programme sure keeps improving this programme and all upgrades are free.
A very strong recommendation for this programme, AudioFinder.

This application is quite stable so far and offers a good set of abilities to one's studio. It's ability to sample sound files is still limited in some ways, for example, it can not handle refill sound files (Reason) though it will play REX files. If the author could address issues like that, it would become THE indespensible software tool. As it is, it is only helpful for some tasks.

In addition, the developer is responsive, and the license is very generous.
I can't recommend this app more highly.
