Un-unstuffable without Aladdin - Version: 1.2, 11/24/2007 02:26PM PST
King Pelvis
This can not be extracted by Leopard using it's built in extraction tools. One would therefore have to get Stuffit in order to open the file, which is an unattractive option on a brand new leopard install.

how about Tiger ? - Version: 1.2, 2/11/2007 03:24PM PST

how does this work on Tiger ? I unstuffed the archive but it seems there are no files in the newly created folder , so....thanx for help . and who invented the mpc format anyway ? i thought this was supposed to make a difference...i mean Mac users have their standard audio video formats , and pc users can handle all the other hundreds of audio and video formats hoping they will find one that actually sound or look good .

Thank you for this easy-to-use tool. So i converted my .mpc with a few clicks into a itunes-suitable format. There was nothing to worry about.

do we need any more stoopid audio codecs and formats necessitating yet more decoders? Want uncompressed? Use AIF or WAV. Want compressed? Use AAC or MP3. Job done. Much simpler, no *censored*ting about with ten programs to convert stuff into those formats which would have been better used in the first place.

Downloaded - installed - tryed opening the app. Simply wouldn't start.
Seems like it's not working with OS10.4.2.
This sucks... after all it's the only player that promised conversion to aiff to mp3.
:-(

This app works. I'm currently listening to an otherwise untouchable music file courtesy of mpc2aiff. It sounds great! The app worked fast and easy. The instructions make it look complicated...ignore them. Just download, open the folder, drag the app to "applications", open it, drag the .mpc files into the drop box, select the quality setting, hit go. Bingo, bango, and a couple of min.s, and you're done.
