Product Description:

AppKiDo helps Mac programmers browse Cocoa documentation. With AppKiDo, you can:
  • Browse the Cocoa class hierarchy.
  • Look up a class in one of several predefined lists ("NSView classes," "Classes with delegates," etc.).
  • Search for all class, protocol, method, notification, and function names with a given substring.
  • Quickly see all methods implemented by a class, including methods inherited from superclasses and methods declared in protocols (but not including undocumented methods).
  • Open the .h file for any Cocoa class (rarely needed, but sometimes handy).
  • What's new in this version:

    • Runs under the Panther pre-release.
    • Removed trailing hr tags and Apple copyright notices in the text view.
    • Now wrapping long lines of example code instead of letting them run off the right edge of the text view.

    Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

    • Mac OS X 10.3
    • Mac OS X 10.2
    • Mac OS X 10.1

    Additional Requirements:

    • Mac OS X 10.1 or higher

    AppKiDo Troubleshooting ReportIssues with Xcode 2.3 - Version: 0.96, 5/24/2006 01:02AM PST

    Hi,

First of all, let me say this app is a great job :)

Now for the bad news, it seems it doesn't work anymore with Xcode 2.3 (can't see class methods, delegates...)
I'm working on a MacBook Pro laptop.

I love AppKiDo and use it daily for my work (I'd be glad to register it if it was shareware). A couple things bother me in the new version though:
    - The separate search panel is annoying to use, requiring switching between two windows. I miss the previous version's Quick Search which I was using all the time
    - The Metal UI doesn't add any value. Since AppKiDo is not a multimedia app, it should not be using it.

I like this new version but the simple search panel issue may make me stick with the previous version. Too bad the ability to search disappeared from the QuickList!

Anyway, great job Andy. This tool is a timesaver for all of us Cocoa coders.
