Product Description:

ClipboardSharing is a Mac OS X application that allows you to share clipboard contents with other computers. You can transfer almost anything that can be copied to a clipboard, including formatted text and images. You can either send clipboards manually when you want to, or enable AutoSync to get the effect of one single networked clipboard. ClipboardSharing uses Rendezvous to find computers on the local network, which makes it very simple to use, and is designed as a menu extra (or "status item"), so that it doesn't take up much desktop space and is always available. It also remembers your previos clipboards; a simple approach to get multiple clipboards.

What's new in this version:

  • Added German localization by Emanuel Kühnel.
  • The transfer confirmation dialog doesn't block anymore.
  • Error sheets are now shown properly when the password sheet is open.
  • Fixed file permissions for some application resources.
  • Fixed an improperly configured transfer timeout.
  • Fixed a problem that could cause the server to "unexpectedly close" the connection.
  • When adding to the AutoSync list, the Cancel button now works as it should.

ClipboardSharing Reviewdoesn't work as login item - Version: 2.0.2, 6/15/2005 09:25PM PST

I've got ClipboardSharing (2.0.2) configured to start as a login item, but after login I need to quit it and start it again before it works. Then sometimes it doesn't work after a while. I've got it running on 3 different machines with all the same behavior, and this behavior has persisted over many OS patches and upgrades.

... and well implemented. I've been using it daily for months without a hitch.

very nice. with the new autosync feature, CS really makes sense. For a future version, I would like to see the sissors symbol go away optionally, and the CS preference dialog should be in the System Prefs. There, you would have an option to turn on the symbol in the menu bar. That would be consistent with many other apps, in particular with the Apple stuff. (With auto sync, there is no need to access the menu!).

Also, the timeouts for the communication should be much longer in case the other machine asks for a password.

Overall -- nice and polished app. Excellent job!
