ClipboardSharing Reviewdoesn't work as login item - Version: 2.0.2, 6/15/2005 09:25PM PST

I've got ClipboardSharing (2.0.2) configured to start as a login item, but after login I need to quit it and start it again before it works. Then sometimes it doesn't work after a while. I've got it running on 3 different machines with all the same behavior, and this behavior has persisted over many OS patches and upgrades.

... and well implemented. I've been using it daily for months without a hitch.

very nice. with the new autosync feature, CS really makes sense. For a future version, I would like to see the sissors symbol go away optionally, and the CS preference dialog should be in the System Prefs. There, you would have an option to turn on the symbol in the menu bar. That would be consistent with many other apps, in particular with the Apple stuff. (With auto sync, there is no need to access the menu!).

Also, the timeouts for the communication should be much longer in case the other machine asks for a password.

Overall -- nice and polished app. Excellent job!

We've been using it for months and it works perfectly. No more "Hey, AIM that link to me". And it also lets you recall previous clipboards, which I don't take advantage of often enough.

Previous versions seemed to get confused with my laptop which was sometimes here at work other times at home, but the latest release seems to handle that with no problem.

ClipboardSharing Troubleshooting ReportI don't get AutoSync - Version: 2.0, 10/24/2003 02:23PM PST

It's not clear to me how to set up autosync, nor when it would sync if it did work. How do I format the rendezvous addresses? Nothing I have tried has worked, or maybe I don't understand how and when it is supposed to sync. Seems like it ought to list available machines in a list and let me choose so I don't have to worry about how to format the address....

polishing the rough edges Apple left behind. This ranks with the many great titles over the years that should be incorporated into the OS. Excellent work Erik, keep the creativity flowing.
