Soundscape ReviewVery Good - Version: 1.2, 1/15/2004 03:41PM PST

While it's true that the terrain that is filling the vast majority of the screen at any point in time was created by the state of the music a number of seconds ago, the visualizer is very effective when used with trance and techno with the terrain reflecting the general mood of the music over a period of time. When the music is smooth and serene, so is the terrain you are flying over. When the music is intense, you fly over soaring mountain ranges. I would like to see the path of the camera change directions as it soars over the landscape, rather than just flying in a straight line. Perhaps this could be affected by the music as well, with the camera plane dipping and swooping with intense music, while just flying in wide lazy circles in the calmer quieter parts.

Soundscape ReviewNice - Version: 1.2, 1/6/2004 11:41PM PST

It's really beautiful, but I wish the music had more of an effect on the visuals being displayed. It might be better if you varied the cloud patterns or terrain types, had the plane slowly weave and pitch, and fixed up the jet stream graphic. All in all, though, I feel the developer is really on to something cool and hope he sticks with it.

Soundscape Reviewits odd and that can be a plus. - Version: 1.2, 1/6/2004 10:26PM PST

this is by no means something that you would play at a party... yet. i think it has promise but i disagree that it should fly backwards. I think that flying backwards should be supported but i know that that would make me feel a little ill. Also, as previously mentioned, it doesn't match up with the music at all, and if it does I have no clue how. Maybe the soundscape should be a globe so it looks like a ball rolling towards you, this could allow you to shorten the horizon and have it 'roll' up to you instead of just coming in a straight line. Aside from that I like the little graphics (boats, planes) and the new track fence. Its a cool idea but it needs to be improved upon.
