Product Description:

MapServer OSX is a Mac OS X port of the Open Source MapServer software, distributed in the easy-to-install Mac OS X package installer format. The development of this software package was sponsored by the IW:LEARN (International Waters : Learning Exchange And Resource Network) organization as a contribution to the Open Source MapServer community.The following is a complete description of the MapServer software from the MapServer website:

"MapServer is an OpenSource development environment for building spatially enabled Internet applications. The software builds upon other popular OpenSource or freeware systems like Shapelib, FreeType, Proj.4, libTIFF, Perl and others. MapServer will run where most commercial systems won't or can't, on Linux/Apache platforms. MapServer is known to compile on most UNIXes and will run under Windows NT/98/95."
