Product Description:

Hatari is an Atari ST emulator for Linux, BSD, BeOS, Mac OS X and other systems that are supported by the SDL library. More precisely, Hatari is an adaption of the WinSTon source code to the SDL library, using the portable UAE CPU core instead of the original, non-portable assembler CPU core.

Although Hatari is still in an early state (and so there are many features still missing and the emulator is still a little bit unstable), you can already use disk images and run many programs, games or demos with it.

What's new in this version:

  • This is just a bug-fix release, without new features.
  • Fixed some compile problems on non-unix-like systems (like MingW).
  • Fixed crashes in Spec512 emulation code ("Dan Dare 3" and little endian ARM).
  • Blitter source address is not incremented anymore in operation mode 0 and 15.
  • STE small overscan video effect is now displayed on the left side instead of the right side (fixes "Just Musix 2" menu for example).
  • Hatari now works on 256 color displays right again.
  • Fixed PSG mirror register emulation (fixes e.g. sample sound in "Ooh Crikey Wot A Scorcher" demo).

- I agree, STeem is the king of the ring, seeing as it handles overscan tricks without breaking a sweat; I am impressed with the sampled sound support on this - doesn't run as many things as noSTalgia, but early days!
