Product Description:

pearLabelizer is a little utility that makes it a breeze to print addresses or other text onto specific labels of a label sheet. It's pretty straight forward to use, and hey, it even supports drag

What's new in this version:

  • pearLabelizer is now Universal Binary (support for PPC and Intel Macs).
  • Added AddressBook field 'Nickname'.
  • Address Book Printing now also accepts Smart Groups (however, Smart Groups don't support distribution lists in Tiger's Address Book).
  • Added newline and space stripping: if a line ends up empty because there is no value for the specified keyword, the line is removed automatically. If multiple keywords are on a single line, the first space after an empty keyword is also removed.
  • Invisible newline characters at the end of entries are now ignored.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9
  • Mac OS X 10.3

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.3 or higher (Universal Binary)

pearLabelizer ReviewGreat App but there is a very serious Bug!!! ***WARNING*** - Version: 0.6, 7/1/2008 05:03PM PST

NOTICE TO DEVELOPER - I highly recommend the product but....

PearLabelizer is a great app but after experienceing some problems printing with my Epson printer after using PearLabelizer I had to do some digging. After some research I found that this app deletes saved printer presets (such as paper, colorsync, color/b&w, profiles, etc...,) once you open the app. I tested it three times - making a preset using an Epson printer, then opening up PearLabelizer, then going to the print dialog and the same thing happens - All my saved presets are reset to the default settings.

I use an EPSON 3800 Printer / OSX 10.4.11 so it may just be this printer and OS combo so try it if you have a different printer, brand and/or OS.

HELP!!!!

pearLabelizer ReviewDoes the job - Version: 0.6, 12/21/2007 02:47PM PST

It's ridiculous that Address Book does such a bad job of printing labels. This little app mostly fills the bill. Be sure to read the "read me" file so that you understand how to load the Avery templates.
My only quibbles are that the font sizes seem to come out on the labels much larger than they should for some reason (an Ariel 10 looks more like an Ariel 12) and that there doesn't seem to be a way to fine-tune line-spacing. Also, printing seems slow from this app. But hey, the program's free and it works!

This application is easy to use, very flexible and intuitive: perfect to make maximum use of your labels. For years I've been frustrated printing from databases or other programs that just print from the top of the page and leave me half a page or more of blanks. Then I have to turn the page around, etc. There is genius in the simplicity of this app. Highly recommended.
