Its gone, and its now broken. - Version: 0.5.7, 4/26/2005 08:40AM PST

MI-Sugar was a nice piece of software. I paid for it. I guess now I'll have to start using gschem. The bad part is that
it doesn't work under tiger. Something broke, and I suppose this means he won't be fixing it.

According to the developer's site, he's going back to Windows because Macs are "too expensive". I don't quite understand that part, with iBook G4's going for $999 these days, but such is life. Too bad, I was looking forward to trying this package out.
GREAT!

I use an old version of "ElectronicWorkBench" in classic may be I'll be able soon to use an OSX app for my simulation. But for now the simplicity of use of "EWB" ( the scope, the V,A meter ect. ) let me stick with it but in future if the interface of MI-Sugar evolve I'll switch. Any way this is a great start.

Here is a comment from the developer on his website. I hesitate to send in my $15 since the project now seems dead. At least the developer is upfront about it.
I'm taking a break from working on MI-SUGAR.
I will continue when I'm 'in the mood' again. License
sales are too low to be a motivating factor and other
software projects are more fun right now. I wouldn't
mind selling the whole MI-SUGAR project (source code,
artwork, documentation). Please contact me if you are
interested.

I have been using MI-SUGAR for several months now and use it regularly for my work. It is great, never crashes. An example of what I have done with it is on my site at http://emcesd.com/tt2003/tt100103.htm
The program is worth far more than the small fee charged to access all the features.

Surely this is the SPICE they were fighting for in Dune

I have been looking for a decent SPICE simulator for OSX with a graphical front end; saw this today and tried it. Nothing short of brilliant - the graph settings are icing on the cake. Any more superlatives and I'd need a thesaurus - excellent, stable, easy to use... Top marks to the author for such a superb package!

outstanding start. In fact, if this were the _finishing_ point it would be outstanding. It is Spice with a nice Cocoa front-end. A model of porting technical software (e.g. Unix) to the Mac.
