Product Description:
MacHacha Pro is a great utility to split & join files using several common cross-platform formats (windozee, mac, unix), such as hjsplit, hacha, fastsplit, mastersplitter or winsplit. Since version 1.1, also supports joining-uncompressing RAR regular and multi-segment files.
What's new in this version:
- Added a little interface: preferences and a very basic progress bar.
- Added support for Hacha Pro .exe files.
- Added preference to keep broken rar extracted archives.
- Added a preference to quit MacHacha after processing and display "Done" dialog.
- Added an option to create BAT files (autojoin capabilities for Windows).
- Added an option to create .command files (autojoin capabilities for OS X).

Tried several times, different files and on different systems, it always produces tons of error messages and not does what it should, very disappointing

I'm running OS X 10.5.8, and just tried the 3.3, it seems to work very nice.
With Machacha v3.2 I couldn't split this huge (.dmg) file to make it fit in two DVDs. I got a weird error ("can't split files with Unicode names"), that seems to have disappeared with v.3.3...
... but when I try to open the joined .dmg file... I fails to mount, giving me a -4960 error.
Yet I am thankful to the programmer, who is working for free (and sure learning a lot from all this).
Will try ordinary hacha to see how it goes.
