au works well, and I only had a few issues. The uninstall application doesn't work. I had to remove things by hand. It seemed to break sendmail until I removed everything by hand. It doesn't really do what I want (hence no rating), which would be a combination of rendezvous and internet email, but with sorting to the appropriate accounts. (all au mail apparently goes to your user account, and not to the account specified, even if the accounts doesn't exist). Preferences for something like that would be nice. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would rather use qmail or something other than sendmail, but haven't had much luck comiling/configuring it by hand. This application seems to be in the right position for doing something like that. Although that isn't the purpose for this application, it would be nice :-P

Only (and best) DJB tools installer for OS X

Juicy
If you've been dying to use qmail and/or djbdns on OS X this is a great start. The qmail and dnscache installation is quick and painless. (A DNS cache, by the way, speeds your internet requests by making the DNS query portion of any request lightning fast.) While Au isn't a DJB tool installer at heart (and I haven't made use of the Rendezvous side of it), it's been the best way I know to get started using those tools on OS X. And while dnscache is the only app from the djbdns suite installed and configured by Au, tinydns and several critical helper apps are also installed. A trip to http://cr.yp.to/djbdns.html will help die-hards figure out how to configure a complete industrial-strength DNS server with the tools Au installs. Thanks Jak, for such a great tool!
