I installed this in Panther. It didn't work. I emailed Keyspan 3 weeks ago and they have yet to reply.
Not cool.

Incorrect Link, Corrupted Installer - Version: 1.6, 10/30/2003 11:52AM PST

The title says it all - the URL is incorrect (but it's quite easy to figure out what it should be) and the installer won't run under Panther (haven't tried Jaguar). This is the error I get when I try to install: "The preinstall script was either not executable or not readable." Try again, Keyspan! The hardware is awesome – but that won't give any stars here...

I just installed this app on 10.3.9 and it works very well -- quite customizable, but not immediately intuitive. I can now control any application (Finder, Firefox, iTunes, etc...) using custom keystrokes.
The interface looks like someone threw it together in about 10 minutes. One annoyance is that buttons selected to be remapped aren't highlighted in the list, so it's difficult to tell immediately which button you're changing.
The features themselves, however, are simply amazing. This really helps justify the relatively high price of this remote. Now it doesn't have to be relegated to only presentations. However, I do believe that these button-remapping features should be standard for any computer remote. It's a shame that the Mac version of this app seems more like an afterthought for Keyspan, who is usually very Mac-friendly.
I'd recommend changing a few of the default button settings for optimal use. For example, if you're a heavy iTunes user, you'll probably want to set the up/down arrow buttons to Cmd-Up and Cmd-Down so you can control iTunes volume from most applications (avoiding having to switch back to iTunes first). Shift-Cmd-Down is also a near-universal mute for iTunes, which can be helpful when the "space" pause command won't work because you're in another application.
If you're having trouble getting it to work, make sure you have a "Revision 3" remote -- the silver/black one with "R3" printed on the sticker on the back, and make sure the receiver is unplugged before installing the software.
Hope that helps some of you. Enjoy!
