A Dashboard widget version of Degrees Down Under is now available for users of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. The widget's colour varies with the temperature, which can be displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
excellent little app

Either would be nicer than the current options of dock or screen. But a nice functional app, thank you.

I hope the window postion bug is fixed in the latest release (2.0). Please let me know if not! Also, I'm not clear what home page link I posted that is still relevant to this version.
Temperature display in the menu bar is a popular request, and should make it into the next version. (The Read Me lists this and other possible additions for future versions.)

Great idea for those of us in Australia who have for some time endured the frustration of not knowing what the weather's on about as there has only been U.S.-based software available.
The link to the author's home page didn't work though as I wanted to try out his suggestion posted on VT.
It's very unintrusive as it sits there quietly in the top left-hand corner of my eMac. Plus, having the tempreture also highlighted in the Dock is useful when you have to wrestle with x-amount of open windows on your desktop.
Highly recommendable to anyone over here in Australia.

Nice, simple little app, that finally gives us Aussies some attention! (Bit sick of most apps being US Centric.
Does the job nicely. Works fine in 10.3.3.

The app it works exactly as described, only complaint is that it would be nice if it remembered its window position on each start so it didn't have to be repositioned each time. It's also got a lot of potential and if the developer wanted to expand it's feature base they might want to add some more variables from the Bureau of Meteorology site. And speaking of that, I found a lot of interesting things at that site through the app link that I didn't even know existed. Excellent product, educational actually, good work.

I've found a bug, no-matter where you look the temperature is always about 40,000 celcius lower than it deserves to be
