First of all: thanks a lot for this helpful little app!
Since I could not afford an iPod, I bought a small USB-mp3-stick some time ago, which - on a Mac - can only be filled with music using drag and drop. Since it is obviously DOS-formatted, copying an mp3-file produced two files on the device: the mp3-file and a second file starting with "._" that, located between two tracks, prevented the player from proceeding to the next track. The only solution for me was to delete those files on the USB-stick, which really got on my nerves! Another problem was that the file order was not preserved - a big problem if you want to listen to an audiobook that consists of many small tracks!
Now KopyMac addresses all these issues! I start the app, connect the device, and select it as the destination folder. When I drop files to be copied to the device, it usually works well: no ._-files, right sorting oder!
However, there are some problems, too. After dropping the files, I get an alarm sound. I first thought it was meant to indicate the completion of the file transfer, but this is not the case, since copying goes on. So it is a little bit irritating (A text box informing the user that the transfer is complete would be great!).
Another observation I made is that KopyMac always crashes after quitting (i.e., I get a message it has unexpectedly quit) - but this has no further effect. The last little problem ist that KopyMac does not work properly when confronted with filenames containing letters like ä, ü, ö, etc.
Still, KopyMac remains very useful to me! THANK YOU!

first of all thank you very much for this app, because basically it is exactly what I was searching for, however there are some details which cause problems in my special situation:
I wanted to copy 20 GB of MP3-Files from my PowerBook to our PC with Win XP (via Ethernet).
Copying in the finder did'nt work because of invalid characters in the filenames. So I tried Kopymac and it seems to do what I expect it with OS 10.3.9.
BUT, after having copied one single folder (and each and every folder afterwards) there is an error message, that the file /Foldername/Icon could not be found. So each time I have to klick OK and this is annoying and time consuming, cause copying only progresses if I klick OK...
-> couldn't such error messages be saved in a report which is shown at the end of (or better while) copying?
The second problem: a status message or something similar would be great, because If you copy 20 GB like me, it would be nice to know how long it will take...
Best regards
Martin
