Product Description:

EOS Image Manager is a pure Cocoa application that enables users to quickly view, thumbnail, rename (add/remove chars, change case, re-series), and manage (move, copy, delete) all of their image files/folders from a single, elegant interface. With this application users can organize *thousands* of downloaded images and digital photos in minutes.

In addition to powerful image management tools, users can also enjoy full-screen slide shows with several options.

What's new in this version:

  • Major redesign of File Manager Tab GUI, including table with sortable columns.
  • Added "Date Modified" column to the main file browser.
  • Added sorting ability to Name, Size, and Date File Browser columns, along with the ability to reorder them.
  • Added sorting ability to Name, Size, and Date Target Browser columns, along with the ability to reorder them.
  • Images shown at full-size now auto-center in the image view when initially displayed and during window resizing operations (props to Brock Brandenberg).
  • The speed of file and rename operations is now greatly improved due to the removal of auto-refresh from the source browser. All moved/deleted items are simply removed from the listing now, and file renames simply rename the cell (items no longer reorder themselves to their new alphabetical location).
  • Added Thumbnail Size popup menu to Thumbnails Tab and set it to remember selected size between sessions.
  • Created brand-new application icon.
  • Added Tooltips to all Toolbar Icons.
  • Misc: Added horizontal scroll bar to file browser table.
  • Misc: Using only *columnName pointer now to connect with all table columns and not column index number.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2 or higher

EOS Image Manager CommentaryThumbnail Caches Not Saved Between Sessions - Version: 1.0, 12/8/2004 01:57PM PST

John P Hughes
If you need to search a folder visually for one JPEG image among many, this application has a problem - it does not appear to save thumbnail caches between sessions. On my iBook (G3) I can wait around 9 minutes for a full set of thumbnails to be produced for a folder containing a large number of items. In contrast, if I use ImageBrowser to manage the same folder, the thumbnails are available to view almost immediately after launch.
