Wimpus Reviewneeds more work - Version: 0.99c, 9/10/2004 08:49AM PST

i downloaded this thinking that it was going to be awesome. i couldn't have been more wrong. it caught 4 machines in suspension in 2 entirely different locations. the windows that load are so wide that you can't find the edge of them. i've give this product 2 chances now and it just fails miserably. nifty idea but fails in execution.

This bridges a big gap in the music market for sure. Ethically and technically better and safer than robbing off Kazaa and more reliable than creating links to what was mp3.com I downloaded, installed, verified a couple of preferences, selected genre and number of tracks and lo and behold it pottered away in the background and assorted tracks from unknown artists appeared in a download folder. Could be a bit more transparent about work in progress, but if you just programme it and leave, it is fine. I will let it run for a couple of weeks just to see, but so far it looks worth a few bucks.

Isn't often that I post a review, but this is a unique product. Reminds me of the days that I would tape stuff off of my radio to make into mix tapes...but this is automatic! Very cool product...keep up the good work!
