Hi. I just downloaded the Birthday Reminder. Does it need to be open all the time for this to work?

Unremarkable
It's Dave Sag! Lawrence Campbell here, remember me?! Jesse's partner's ex-bloke. Blimey!

runs without quitting. Sure enough I know people with only one name and that was the issue it seems. This app is quite cute but you need to be able to sort entried by birthday (note not by year, but just by day and month) so you can see for yourself who is coming up next, and it should show the forthcoming age. I would like to see an option to move all known birthdays to a user specified iCal calendar as recurring events too. That would be even more useful. Finally the author has some strange ideas about version numbering I think, but it's his software, he can do what he likes with it. This is a great start however and with some fine tuning could be absorbed by apple into the address book where this sort of functionality belongs.

upon launch. updated to 10.2.4 with same thing... Just went to the site and 2.1 fixed it! Nifty tool. now I just need to remember to double click this program once a week or so since I'm not an iCal man yet. =)
Well...It worked perfectly…
