iSpectrum Analyzer ReviewOK . . . but, let's deal with this on a more real-world level - Version: 2.04, 3/12/2006 03:23PM PST

FFTs are all well and good from a theoretical perspective. But human hearing, and the correlation to the auditory/acoustic experience, is more clearly indicated in octave bands, 1/3 octaves, or 1/12 octaves. Not a difficult thing to extract from the FFT data, and far more intuitive. This program a good start, but we need more Mac software that is really in the audio domain. Physics is great, but we need to keep linear and log scales in their proper domains.
