Vidi Usage TipLove it! - Version: 0.4.7, 4/23/2008 09:21PM PST

Had a problem with my camera, but after a couple hours of troubleshooting in the net, I figured it out... For my Sony Camera, I have to turn off a setting called A/V->DV OUT in the Menu when in VCR mode. Then it works. I now have a Sony DCR-TRV350 connected to my iMac with the A/V cable, S-video (possibly better quality, but not sure yet) and iLink (Firewire). Plus the scheduled recording is extra easy with my Directv D10-300 receiver 'cause you can tell the tuner to auto tune to a channel when a program's on. Great product. Thanks!

Being able to record video "in the middle of the night" is wonderful. The program is easy to use (except for military time) and works as promised.

I have a cable tuner connected to my Intel iMac using a Sony DCR-TRV20 as analog to digital converter. The picture quality on the iMac even in full screen mode is great. Manual and timer controlled recording produced DV movies.
Universal application.
