Product Description:

SwapSwapVM is an AppleScript application written to change the target volume (disk) for the Virtual Memory swapfiles in OS X 10.2.x Jaguar. It has been vigorously tested on various configurations under OS X 10.2.0 through 10.2.3 (it has not been tested under OS X 10.1.x, but it should work. Try it on versions older than 10.2.0 at your own risk).

What's new in this version:

error handling to *safely* clear old unused swapfiles
error handling to *safely* protect against removed or renamed disks
repairs improper settings installed by other utilities, such as Xupport 1.2.4 and older
Includes 'simulation mode' to examine code output before executing

This is a great app that does the job elegantly and reliably ... that is until OSX 10.2.7 & as I understand 10.2.8 (which has been pulled).

It seems it broke since 10.2.7

Apart from needing to be updated with each new OS release, just the best.
Hope to see 10.2.8 version soon.

I tried to run this app three times - each time a white window flashed up very briefly after launch, then the HD would work a lot and after 5 minutes or so, the app crashes with an unexpected error.

I used the latest version 0.9.9b9 that should work with OS 10.2.6, according to the read me. I quit all other applications, I printed out the emergency tips - did everything right but the app simply won't work.
