Dock-a-bye ReviewDO NOT USE THIS APP -- IT'S SCREWY - Version: 1.0, 2/23/2004 03:24PM PST

Jay
I installed Dock-a-bye and it worked, but it screwed up my desktop pictures -- made them rapidly change for about 40 seconds until Dock-a-bye had fully loaded. it also made other things disappear for no reason, and other odd behavior like sudden quitting of Butler (formerly Another Launcher). After I uninstalled Dock-a-bye all the weird behavior ceased. I recommend that you find some other way to kill the dock, or just live with it. (I have a 1.25 GHz 20" iMac running OS 10.3.2).

Dock-a-bye ReviewPerfect! - Version: 1.0, 7/29/2003 02:06PM PST

My buddy turned me onto A-Dock and PathFinder. The only issue with this finder/Dock replacement is I had to make the dock really small and move it to the bottom of the screen, but since I use Codek Virtual desktop from time to time, I really dont want the dock there (or anywhere for that matter). I found this app by doing a VT search and found this applescript. Does exactly what it says, nothing more, which is EXACTLY what I wanted. I set it up as a login item and now A-Dock and PathFinder launch and thent he dock quits. I never see it happen, it JUST WORKS! :-). Thanks to the developer for contributing this little AppleScript to the community. A.S. is not my strong point, appreciate your efforts.
