Did they even test this? Several pages don't show up in the Setup menu. Nearly all of the dropdown menus are screwed up. I have seen these same errors on FireFox for the Mac and PC. This is poor coding. This is NOT a Safari problem. I work for a company that has had similar problems with its web interfaces. The developers have always tried to blame Safari. In the end, the programers have found that the error was caused by poor programming on their part. Notice that not all dropdowns and navigation menus are broken.
The software functions OK, but the UI is really screwed up. I installed this version because I was hoping it would clear up the UI problems from the last version. Instead it got worse.

Why Can't They Fix The Menus for Safari Users? - Version: 4.21.1, 5/30/2006 04:58AM PST

Why can't Linkys fix the way the menus render for people that use Safari? What I mean that you get page code showing up on the pull down. This wasn't always broken and started showing up sometime 2 years ago. I once tried contacting Linkys about it, and it's almost like they developed an entire corporate structure so the customer can never talk to a customer service rep or technician. I just gave up on it. But still, I'm surprised with all the new Mac users out there that they haven't addressed this issue.

Anyone else notice when using Safari 2.0 to administer the router that the pop-up menus have extra data in them? I don't see the behavior in Firefox.

I just checked Linksys's site and the latest version for "wrt54g version 2" is 4.00.07 So where are you getting 4.20.6 from?

We need a separate VT entry for the WRT54GS, whose official firmware is up to version 4.70.6.

wrt54g never fails with sveasoft firmware - Version: 3.03.6, 2/4/2005 05:36AM PST

The wrt54g is the best router when using 3rd party firmware. My wrt54g using sveasofts latest firmware gives me the functionality of an enterprise level router costings £400 or more.
Good but...

I found it works pretty good at first. Extended the range and delt with some interferance issues I had...but after a day or two the signal drops. I have to go to the router, unplug it, and plug it back in. This brings back up the signal, and I am wireless again.
It is a bit random, but needs to be done about every two days.

I am using it with a wired iMac & a wireless VAIO, it works great with both
In this case, the 4.30.5 firmware is for WRT54G v1-v4.
WRT54G v5-v6 models have different firmware with a different numbering system: 1.00.9
Check the model version number on the bottom of your WRT54G router, and match it to the looooong form menu on the Linksys Downloads page.
