dingonviPhoto however is NOT a browser.
read this carefully, to view your photos in iPhoto, you have to import them into your photo library. go through them and delete the ones you don't want. waste of time and resources.
thumbnailer is a better way to browse folders full of images to decide which ones you want to put into iPhoto.
they are complementary products, not meant to be outright replacements.
Sure you can browse a bunch of photos in apple's preview by dragging them all into the drawer, but a straight folder browser is so much quicker, and easier.
So make sure you understand how something works, before you go slamming it.
i repeat, thumbnailer is a different class of viewer than iPhoto. just because they both display photos, doesn't mean they do the same thing
