Product Description:

Filters common advertisement urls via Perl-compatible regular expressions and prevents them from displaying in Safari. Fully customizable by editting a list of blocked urls in a Preferenences pane.

What's new in this version:

compatible with Safari Beta2 (v73) only
content collapsing handles IFRAME tags now
contextual menu to block images from a server (much like Phoenix)
collapse images matching common ad sizes
Flash and other plugin content now blocked as well
added Block/Allow Domains (more efficient than generic block)
added new rule types (regex url, regex domain, match domain)
fixed a bug preventing Reload Unfiltered from working properly
preferences pane contextual menu adds new functionality
rules editor rewritten to alert user of syntax errors
rules editor shows invalid rules
default rule set tweaked again
future rule updates can be merged with user rules automatically
errors appear as alerts rather than silent failures to the Console

Would it seriously kill the dev to mention somewhere on the dev's site or somewhere... anywhere... that PithHelmet works fine with Safari 4.0.4??

I mean... this app IS for Safari, riiiiight???? Grrr..... I'm starting to regret the fact I donated money for this app.

OS 10.6.1, Safari 4.03
Pithhelmet 3.0b2 downloads, unpacks and proceeds to install "for all users".

Safari starts automatically, but there is no Pithhelmet tab in the preferences window, and ads are not blocked. Tried re-installing three times with similar effects, and no Pithhelmet installed, apparently.
