Portfolio 8.5 is powerful digital asset management software, but think of it as your personal assistant. It allows you to visually organize, sort and preview your complete library of digital assets, both online and offline. i too just had a disc go OVER 36 hours-what piece of S--t

This thing took over 36 hours (I timed it) to catalogue a DVD with over 25000 files, about 50% EPS illustrations and 50% pixel-based photos. The interface is clumsy, and you can't, and i can't believe this, drag and drop a folder or disk into the window.

Anyway, The MS version of the once fab iViewMediaPro did the disc in under an hour and I was able to drag the disc right into the main window. I mean, c'mon.

I tried this version and I just can't get Portfolio to make any thumbnails from any of my old or new Powerpoint presentation. Extensis claims that this is possible - how?

I have tried with two different Macs; one Intel running Office 2008 and one PPC running Office 2004, but with no thumbnails whatsoever!
