Product Description:

Haxial Calculator is an advanced calculator that can evaluate complex expressions to practically any level of accuracy that you desire.

Other calculator programs blindly attempt to copy physical hand-held calculators by displaying buttons on the computer screen, and an appearance and function that closely mimicks a hand-held calculator. At Haxial, we believe this approach is fundamentally flawed. A computer is a far more powerful device than a hand-held calculator, and thus it is illogical and limiting to duplicate hand-held calculators on a computer. Haxial breaks out of this mindset by designing a calculator that takes full advantage of the fact that it is running on a fully-fledged computer.

With Haxial Calculator, instead of tediously clicking on little buttons, you can freely type a formula using the keyboard. For example, you can type a formula such as this into Haxial Calculator:

84 / (12 + (45 - 3.2)) * 1.24

Then press return, and Haxial Calculator interprets and evaluates the text you entered, and displays the answer. This free-form text editing of mathematical expressions is far superior to the tedious button-clicking of a hand-held calculator, or a calculator program that mimicks a hand-held calculator.

NOTE 1: This is a BETA version. Not everything is finished, and not everything is fully functional.

NOTE 2: The appearance of the user interface is customizable with skins/schemes. For more information, see http://www.haxial.com/appearance/

Haxial Calculator ReviewGives me the precision I need - Version: 1.2, 1/5/2005 10:49PM PST

and I really don't care if pi is accurate to 5000 or 10000 decimal places. why is this a review factor anyway?

Haxial Calculator ReviewYes, the 5000… - Version: 0.904, 2/12/2003 07:33AM PST

decimal places (5001 digits) of pi are correct. Except that haxial stops at ...4132604721, and the next 10 digits are ...5695162396..., so it should round that up (or add more digits until it only rounds down). The lack of functions for it limits its use, though. I mean, does anyone need 1+1 to be accurate to10000 digits? Except for pi and e, everything you could possibly produce could be stored as a big fraction. Which would, actually, be a lot more useful. sin, cos and tan would help, though ;)

Haxial Calculator Review  Is there… - Version: 0.904, 2/11/2003 02:43PM PST

an actual user manual for this app? How do you manually key-in functions other than + - * / and pi? Are all of these 10000 digits of pi exact, I only know the first 100 are. (don't ask) BTW: Haxial is very Mac-like, he is thinking different! Great names for the thems and fonts! I know this is out in left field but a simple RPN version with this precision would be cool.
