CodeTek's implementation is the best one for OS X. I think they're doing a fine job. I beta tested this app, and bought it a few months ago. This revision also works well for me.<br>It would be cool to have preference which allowed VirtualDesktop change your desktop folder as well, until it's added, I recommend <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18053">Deviant menu</a> for switching your desktop folders around.

be boxed in?" could be a motto...It's like having multiple desks or cabinets in your room (instead of having to dig through folders of folders). A request would be to (instead or in addition to the menu bar) be able to activate a folder as a desktop by opening a contextual menu from the item (the original desktop could itself be reverted to (or other recent desktop choices) by control-clicking anywhere on the desktop sheet and selecting the choice for desktop folder from the menu). Speeding up the switching if at all possible would be ideal too, though I can't complain now. And thanks for it being free.
