i've bought soundconverter 3 times, for 3 different macs. am on a new macbook (my previous powerbook died), and emailed the developer to see about at least considering giving me a new license for this mac...and never heard back. even a 'no' reply is better than no reply! disappointing...

Is this really an OS 10.4 fix or a anti-pirate fix, or both, just curious.

Oh course I always buy my copies of software cause everyone should get paid for a job well done, and not get paid for crap, but I really hate downloading software that is just trying to keep up with the Torrent sites. It appears that's what most of the updates are geared toward anymore, so it becomes a pain in the ass to everyone. The maker of the software and the people who by it and have to take time out to download the update. I spend hours a day doing this.

Just be honest and say this update fixes bugs or is just to fight pirates. Then the people that paid for it won't have to bother and the pirates won't either. Pirates can always fall back on their cracked copy or wait for a new crack, which takes a day or two.

I say keep the price so low that people will buy a copy and if it's good software you'll make big bucks on bulk sales. It's the costly software that saturates the trackers.

Then you can turn your creative talents into making money.

That's what I would do.
