A Better Finder Select X Review"quickly select files in the Finder" - Version: 3.3, 3/18/2004 06:10PM PST

SystemLord
There is nothing "quickly" about this app/CM try selecting a few thousand files. You can go buy a new car, come back, go to dinner, its still selecting. A real joke.

A Better Finder Select X Troubleshooting ReportBuggy Uninstaller - Version: 3.3, 12/5/2003 06:34PM PST

Cowicide
The uninstall left a broken pref pane in the system preferences. (and an icon in my dock, but that's no biggie) Please fix this (pref pane issue) for udder users in the future.... Especially those who don't know how to go through and manually fix this stuff like I do.

A Better Finder Select X ReviewI have used… - Version: 3.0, 4/11/2003 04:50AM PST

SPI...master...
the Better Finder Series (Rename,Select,Attributes,Creators) for 3+ years now. Early on, the developer was beat up for having an odd shareware payment policy...which has since corrected. I have since found these little apps indespensible, and extraordinarily stable and consistent, as well as having a pleasant, easy to understand interface. The updates to OSX have now been completed (Attributes being the latest port) and my license has been honored for all the apps. Kudos to Frank! These are great... WISHLIST...any way to combine Select with Rename? Then one could recursively grep a bunch of files and pipe that list directly to Rename without having to do it in two (or more) steps ... that would be cool...
