I don't believe I added that screenshot, perhaps one of my customers did. I've got a big page of screenshots that can be blown up to nice readable sizes on the web site.

...I really wish developers who post screen shots of their products would go the extra inch and display screen shots that can be read! There's nothing more frustrating than clicking on the thumbnail on the main VT page and then look at a pic that is barely 5% larger and impossible to read.

OK ... OK ... so you are a Cocoa fanatic ... like me! You're searching for the perfect app to manage your complex to-do list or projects ... guess what folks ... Tasks will fill that bill, with grace and ease, even though it uses PHP and MYSQL - not Cocoa!

I am now a believer!

Guess what too .. Tasks is so cool that you can finally take advantage of your iCal Calendar without limiting yourself to it's simple to-do list. Just subscribe your Task list(s) to iCal.

Once you set a due date in a Task to-do item, it shows up in iCal! And it will even "carry over" if you don't complete it that day ... just like the old classic, Palm Desktop!

You will be able to manage all your to-dos in Safari (or your favorite browser), so how bad is that?

Also, I'd like to mention that if you are a CRM4mac user you can link your Task items to contacts in your OSX Address Book. Now you have the best of both worlds ... a kick ass contact manager and an awesome hierarchical task manager! For me, this combination offers the best system for CRM that I have ever used!

So for $80 bucks or so (tasks plus crm4mac) -- you can have it all! (Add an extra 100 or so if you want the multi-user version.)

This is a great web based application with a really well executed front end that actually makes you want to use it. Plus it's in PHP which makes it easy to tweak if one desires to do so.

Tasks has made me more productive and has paid for itself in no time. Can't wait for future versions.

Tasks CommentaryHeirarchical to do list - Version: 1.8.2, 12/1/2003 09:42AM PST

azulazul_dotmac
I am looking for a heirarchical to do list that is clear and easy to use and install. I can't believe no one makes it. Slacker is the closest I have come to finding it but it isn;t easy to drag & drop and the heirarchical order is not very clear to the eye. Makes the list look jumbled. Can you make it??
Thanks!

I'm using tasks & photos (alex's photo management web app), and they are both invaluable. i will be donating much for these programs, which have inspired me to run my home computer as a web server so both programs are available to me everywhere...

harlanpjohnson: the "application" is a web based task manager. it'll require a tiny bit of php/mysql knowledge, and at least enough know how to get your computer running as a web server.

to alex, it may help to describe tasks as a PHP web application in the description, to avoid people who might think it's a compiled os x program.
