does not work... - Version: 2.7, 2/6/2006 06:33PM PST

on my 1ghz powerbook g4 running 10.4.4
Enable version check for safaricon yields the following error message: "Can't make some data into the expected type. (-1700)", then trying to apply a theme yields a long error message that starts with "sh: -c: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `then' " ... continuing with a message that includes my user password.

I had some problems at the start. I connected the author and I got an outstanding service........ Thanks for the service & the nice app. The freedom to set icons as coloured flowers in Safari brings back the old days.
No relief from brushed metal - Version: 2.7, 1/16/2006 11:31PM PST

Using safari 2.02...won't allow me to change appearance and get rid of brushed metal...which is really the one reason I was interested in Safaricon. Drop-down menu grayed out. Oh well.

Once I install a theme, a sheet slides down telling me so, and prompting me to hit an "ok" button. I do so, and the sheet rolls back up, leaving a big white space where it used to be. The white space remains even when I try to install another theme.
Other than this major glitch, Safaricon works brilliantly. Unfortunately, many of the themes don't really match OS X's interface, but I guess they'd be nice for someone tweaking his GUI appearance. For myself, I like designs that compliment aqua and brushed metal, of which there are a few very fine sets.
Thanks for the wonderful free app! I believe that, more than Microsoft and Adobe - which run on Windows as well as a Mac - it is the small "insurgent" developers who are the lifeblood of Apple computer.

Having first downloaded an earlier version of this back in September, I must say that this has been a consistently awesome piece of software. The mere ability to change the terrible brushed metal skin of Safari is more than enough, but with version 2.6, the developer has surpassed even that, bringing all sorts of cool new features to Safaricon and Safari. Excellent program- well worth a download.
Great App.

Why look at the "boring" apple version of Safari when you can use this app and any one of its many great themes and other appearance changes to make Safari much easier for the eyes.
Developer has done a great job...follows-up problems thoroughly...and deserves a generous donation for a really well done app. The GUI is well thought out, and the automatic download/notification feature works seamlessly.
Need I say more????

Reinhold- I've been using Safaricon for about a year now. I downloaded v2.5, but it will not accept my password when I try to install a different theme. What's the deal?

I see many people who have download this with problems, yet no one has made any sense or explained why it is good to have this software. Where are the screen shots?
Thanks!
