MySQL Installer Package - Double-clickable MySQL install.
MySQL System Preferences Pane - Initialize, Start & Stop, and set the MySQL root user password with ease from the System Preferences.
JDBC & ODBC Drivers - Complete MySQL includes the latest ODBC and JDBC drivers.
Install Guide - The 14 page install guide comprehensively documents the entire install process.
MySQL Manual - Includes the entire MySQL manual in PDF format.

What's new in this version:

MySQL.pkg will now install my-medium.cnf as my.cnf if my.cnf does not already exist.
MySQL.pkg creates a symlink from /Library/MySQL to /usr/local/mysql. Fixes issues with 3rd party software.
MyODBC now actually works and is installed with a package.
JDBC (Connector/J) is now installed with a package as well.

Very easy install. Nice job.

But ever since installing this, my Powerbook G3 Pismo has constant disc activity. Every 10-15 seconds there is disc access that I can hear. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with this installation becuase I hadn't installed anything else recently. Any ideas about this? What is the uninstall process?
