Big Medium ReviewFirst Class Software - Version: 2.0, 1/4/2008 12:45PM PST

triksys
I've been using BM2 in production since the early beta stages. It's rock solid, endlessly customizable, plug-in-able...
Support is amazing, and I have yet to see a developer more responsive.

I now build websites in hours, not days, ad have computer unsavvy clients happily updating their own sites.

Big Medium Developer NoteFree 30-day demo, no link required - Version: 2.0, 12/18/2007 08:49AM PST

Global Moxie
Josh Clark here, the developer of Big Medium. Just a quick note to say that I've heard and understood the complaints in comments for previous versions. Big Medium is now available in a 30-day trial and no links ("free advertising") are required.

In fact, Big Medium has not required any links ("free advertising") to Global Moxie for some time. That is no longer a requirement.

Re the demo version, you can download it and install it on your own server. The demo includes the full feature set and is not crippled in any way. This demo replaces the live demo that was offered for previous versions.

Best,
Josh

Big Medium CommentaryLack of demo and REQUIRED FREE ADVERTISING sucks - Version: 1.3.6, 9/2/2005 05:32AM PST

Requiring websites to display the Big Medium logo for a product that costs $129 is a slap in the face. To charge $375 further to get rid of that requirement is a joke. The final price of $504 to get an advertisement-free tool from an unknown company is absurd. It may work well, but many people will never know with this type of pricing. No need to try the live demo if you know you will not pay $500.

Big Medium Developer NoteFree online demo available - Version: 1.3.4, 9/20/2004 03:09AM PST

Global Moxie
A free online demo is available at:
http://demo.globalmoxie.com/

The 30-day demo runs on the Global Moxie servers and offers two pre-configured sites to allow you to get acquainted with the software. You can do just about anything on this demo as you could do with the full demo running on your own server, except create additional sites. You can, however, customize or completely alter the two demo sites to match your own site's look and feel. So... Big Medium's online demo gives a nearly complete preview of exactly how the software works and can be set up to demonstrate whether it can be used to meet the needs for your specific site and design.

That said, I do understand and appreciate the additional comfort level provided by installing and trying the software on your own server. We may yet start offering an installable demo. In the meantime, under our 30-day money-back guarantee, we do provide very prompt refunds in the rare occasions when our customers find that the software does not meet their needs.

You can also view the complete documentation and instructions for Big Medium here:

Hope that helps!

Big Medium CommentaryLack of Demo Option - Version: 1.3.4, 8/19/2004 09:54AM PST

It's a pity this product doesn't come available as a time-limited demo. I can appreciate the pitfalls to the developer of such an approach, but this will prevent me from plunking down the money and making the leap to try this product. The "possibility" of a refund is not good enough.

It's one thing to buy a product sight unseen from a developer with the reputation or cachet of Adobe or even Macromedia, but this developer is not in that league. This may well be a superb product (and it may well be superior to those of the bigger competitors); and erhaps one day I will have the option of evaluating a trial version of this product -- and I look forward to that. But -- the foregoing positive reviews notwithstanding -- for now I must err in favor of the big boys.

Big Medium ReviewExcellent Contet Management Tool - Version: 1.3.3, 4/20/2004 08:18AM PST

After almost 3 months of searching for a tools and almost going to on of the PHP Nuke type products I found this Big Medium. Set up is so easy even a new website beginer could have this up and running in no time. Excellent support and most of the features you would ask for in a portal. Great documentation. A multitude of Features and brilliant support from the developers. I converted a 1300 page website and my life is much easier. The best value for your money.

Great software. Very responsive and helpful developer. Considering the licence (per server), I consider this very inexpensive.

Big Medium ReviewOutstanding... saved our sanity. - Version: 1.1.1, 7/27/2003 02:09PM PST

Our website has several hundred pages loosely organized into a book-like format of chapters, subsections, etc. But... with just one person to manage this and a constant flow of new articles to publish, we were losing our minds, along with losing control of the site. Our visitors love the site and constantly ask for more. We just couldn't keep up... Very discouraging!

We then gave the Big Medium demo a thorough test, liked what it did, and took the plunge. We operate on a slim budget but opted for paid support to install BM and create customized templates to match the look & feel of our existing site. This turned out to be a bargain, and saved us a great deal of time. Better yet, Big Medium's developers did a great job of cleaning up our design and reformatting the page layouts.

The result: nothing less than miraculous. Everything about this software is outstanding. The support has been superb, with quick, clear, in-depth answers to every question and doubt. Price: truly a bargain, especially as we see just how much time this will save us in the long run.

If you have a website that needs frequent updates, additions and revisions, I strongly recommend that you give Big Medium a close look.

Our website is still in transition, but you can get an idea of Big Medium's capabilities by visiting The People's Guide To Mexico: http://www.peoplesguide.com Follow the links below the Important Announcement and they will take you to the Big Medium version of our site.
