After upgrading Pages, Numbers and Keynote, although the new version is installed, the Info box still shows the old version number. Sloppy work, Apple.

Apple Keynote Troubleshooting ReportKeynote crash, crash and crash again.... - Version: 4.0.3, 4/6/2008 12:13PM PST

Keynote 4.03 crashes just as often as before when you work "heavy" files. Forums are full with Keynote 4.0 issues and Apple is incapable of solving them. You just have to go back to 3,0 version as powerpoint 2008 is even worse than Keynote. Do you have to work with windows to be able to give a presentation with a Mac???? This nightmare has been going on for 8 months and Apple has been hopeless.

Apple Keynote ReviewNot Apple's best implementation... - Version: 4.0.3, 4/4/2008 02:00AM PST

Instead of making this an easy update (wherein the installer simply searches/checks your system for Keynote 4.0.2 and then does the update), Apple has set this update to check a specific file location (../Applications/iWork '08). If the installer doesn't find the app in that exact location, no update. This is aggravating and completely unnecessary. Many, many users choose not to keep their application in an iWork '08 folder. It's bad enough that Adobe buries its apps in a mindless hierarchy of folders, does Apple really need to follow this example?

The aggravation/confusion/wasted time is compounded by the fact Apple hasn't bothered to provide any documentation (with the installer or on its Support page) to explain this silly implementation.

Apple Keynote Commentarystill no proper SWF export - Version: 3.0.1, 4/27/2006 07:35AM PST

Keynote 3 is lacking compared to Keynote 2 when it comes to SWF files. Keynote 3 is not able to properly export SWF files with transitions. Keynote 2 could do this without problem.

Apple Keynote ReviewArgghhhh still no audio support - Version: 3.0.1, 4/26/2006 07:01PM PST

I can't believe that Apple STILL has not implemented the ability to start audio with a specific slide and end the audio a specific number of slides later. This is a standard with Powerpoint. I LOVE Keynote. So much better than powerpoint, but c'mon apple - people need the ability to control audio if they are going to give great presentations. Currently I have to play audio seperately through my ipod and it is not a smooth operation. All you can do with Keynote is to play a song all the way through when you start the show. A bit lame!
