Hi, here is my feedback on Leopard 10.5.8 machine PowerBook G4:

1. it is very fast compared to other browsers.

2. it is less buggy than before, but still crash or hang on a random basis, on apparently no reasons (ie. while searching for a new site, entering a certain web page, etc.)

3. documentation is to me way too simple and poor. Not enough topics and not detailed enough!

SO, DESPITE THIS IS STILL MY FAVORITE BROWSER! LONG LIFE TO SAFARI! LONG LIFE TO APPLE! LONG LIVE TO SPEVE JOBS! :-)

Definite (and much-needed) improvement in performance on pages with Java. You'll be happy with this.

Apple Safari ReviewCan't believe this nightmare - Version: 4.0.3, 10/22/2009 08:04PM PST

welcome--2008
What? Safari that used to be so great, made by our dear Apple, has now become complete crap? Like the others said: this is turning into a nightmare with the endless beachballs and the waiting: it takes forever to open a new tab, and more and more often, Safari actually crashes. I realized today that I was better off using FireFox 3.5.3.
I'm in a state of shock: how could they do that to us? Don't they test their software before release anymore? This is scary, c'mon Apple get it back right, cos now I'm dropping Safari, and THAT is a revolution to me.

Apple Safari ReviewDing, Dong, Dead. - Version: 4.0.3, 10/14/2009 07:48PM PST

Is there any way to uninstall this absolute piece of garbage!?

I loved Safari, it's light, fast, and clutter free. Ever since updating from the version 4 beta Safari has been a nightmare. Constant Spinning Beachballs of Death always leading to me having to eventually force quit the thing. I've uninstalled every inputmanager, plug-in, hack etc, reset preferences, ad infinitum, all a waste of time. Someone fubared Safari or WebKit or something somewhere and it's too bad, but I don't have time or patience for this thing any more. Parting is such sweet sorrow. Adieu!

Apple Safari Review"It's Dead, Jim!" - Version: 4.0.3, 10/3/2009 03:41PM PST

I love Safari. It's elegant and fast. It works with all Web sites except minor ones like FACEBOOK. What the devil has WebKit done to screw up Safari's functionality? Worse, every WebKit nightly release fixes one problem and creates another.

Gecko handles Facebook beautifully. Why should customers have to accommodate themselves to Safari's quirks? Until Safari is fixed—really fixed—Firefox, as clunky as it is, will have to do.

Apple Safari ReviewYou Finally Lost Me Apple! - Version: 4.0.3, 9/12/2009 01:25PM PST

I have been browsing the web since the original Mosaic. I have used many browsers, but for the past 4 or 5 years I have stuck with Safari. However, Safari 4 has finally broken my loyalty and I have returned to Firefox 3.5. Safari 4 does not play well with Flash and Java with older G4 macs. And since I have two G4 macs, I can no longer use Safari. Apple likes to write its software for current hardware, but does not consider older software. So Apple, Goodbye!
