Move Items X ReviewDoesn't fully work for me... - Version: 1.6.1, 12/7/2007 02:12PM PST

Great idea but just doesn't work for me: what I really need is the Move Item to New Folder to work and it doesn't. Contacted the author and we exchanged some email then no response at all, doesn't look good! Needs some work.

Move Items X ReviewHas been great for years! Any Leopard update? - Version: 1.6.1, 11/12/2007 04:15PM PST

This has been indispensable for years, being able to just right-click on a file and move it wherever I want, or to any of my designated favorite folders. This used to be the only game in town.

Now, there is competition with freeware Folder Glance which is similar and seems to work on Leopard fine, so perhaps the developer will update for Leopard and drop the price or make freeware.

Type Shft-Cmnd-G and then type /volumes, then drag the small icon from the window header to any utility you are using (i.e FolderGlance in my case), and voila, you will have access to all your volumes. You just have to do this once in your lifetime.
But if you still don't feel like doing that, because it's not gran'ma friendly, then maybe you should go ahead and pay the $15.

Seems like this is the only one where, by contextual menu, you can move a file, navigating anywhere on your HD (all volumes) without having designated specific folders to move to. This is why I choose this.

Andreas..

...but as this costs money I think it only fair to prospective purchasers to tell them that the fabulous QuickAccessCM does more and is free.

FolderGlance is faster, better, and doesn't cost $15. Actually, it does what Launch Items, Move Items, Browse Volumes, Folder Contents do, without having to pay a total of $60 to this greedy developper... The party 's over kid!

Does exactly what it claims, just like the Windows "Move to Anywhere" tweak. Saves gobs of time, causes no crashes as far as I know, easy to install and use. Can't ask for more.
